STUDY ABROAD
fashion marketing & merchandising
LONDON | PARIS | MILAN | FLORENCE
JUNE - JULY 2017

In the summer of 2017, I studied in the fashion capitals of the world; London, Paris, Milan, and Florence. Being immersed in these cities allowed me to gain a new perspective on fashion, experience different cultures, and learn in an unique environment. Lectures were hands on and applied to the luxury segment of the fashion industry.
Much of the class was geared towards museum visits with locations including:

The Fashion and Textile Museum | Anna Sui Exhibit
The Design Museum | Cartier in Motion
The Victoria and Albert Museum | Balenciaga: Shaping Fashion
Kensington Palace | Diana: Her Fashion Story
Fashion Museum in Bath
Les Arts Decoratifs | Christian Dior: Couturier du Rêve
Armani/Silos
Museo Didattico della Seta di Como
Museo della Moda e del Costume
Museo Salvatore Ferragamo | The Return to Italy
Outside of class and museum visits, my time was spent exploring the amazing cities, visiting Haute Couture designers, and of course shopping!

Luxury Brand Project
Through my travels across Europe, I was able to witness various luxury brands. As a part of the class requirements, I had to write and present three luxury brands; one British, one French, and one Italian. This was a reflective piece about my travels as well as international marketing plans, distribution channels, market segmentations, target markets, visual merchandising, m/e-commerce, etc.
